2017 Maison Grand Cru

Russian River Valley

Release Notes

Since 1996 Maison Grand Cru has been the proprietary trademark wine of Keith Rutz that defines the pedigree and his style that Rütz followers have come to expect. Maison Grand Cru hails from its true beginning of Domaine Rütz releases from the Russian River Valley vineyards that have graced the landscape of Sonoma County as the premier terroir in this Golden State.

Its Burgundian heritage of clones and the barriques coopered from the Centre of France forests of Allier and Troncais define the crisp and balanced profile that creates a mid-palate sensation that lingers and lingers. Somewhat cloudy in appearance –significant of an unfined and unfiltered wine with long legs in the glass. The final blend of barrels are “balanced” and “seamless” giving this wine its TOTAL FINESSE – my ultimate goal!
