2016 Notre Vue Estate

Cabernet Sauvignon

Chalk Hill

Release Notes

Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the steepest hillsides of the famed Notre Vue Estate Vineyard in the Chalk Hill appellation of Sonoma County. This Bordeaux style wine from the 2016 vintage is an expression of what a true single vineyard dictates: finesse and concentration.

Its compelling aromas of plum, black current, dark chocolate herbs and a vanilla backbone give it a rich and textured mouth feel. The layered tannins are slowly creating a tight structure with highlights of earthy dark fruits, cassis, and pencil lead surrounded by a toast of 100% new French Oak. We chose the oak from the centre of France’s Vosges forest to showcase the power and finesse this wine deserves. Powerful and full-bodied in the mid palate, its entry constitutes a solid frame and long savory finish.
